The magnetism-induced ductility in Ni-rich NiAl intermetallic alloys with Fe additions has been investigated theoretically and experimentally. The compressive tests showed that Fe addition decreases the yield strength, but increases the ductility and fracture strength of Ni(Al,Fe) alloys markedly.
