Very deep nanoscale domain inversion in lithium niobate (LiNbO3) substrate have been realized utilizing the proposed circular form full cover electrode (CF-FCE) method. Initially, we highlighted the theory of QPM-SHG and the method of domain inversion in LiNbO3 (hereafter referred as LN). We also analyzed the advantages and drawbacks of various electrodes utilized for periodic domain inversion in...
We have investigated theoretically the performance of electrooptic control of quasiphase matched second harmonic generation efficiency in periodically poled ferroelectric crystals for the case where a periodic electrode is used.
In this paper, we report experimental observations of the spectral modifications of ultrashort laser pulses caused by high-efficiency optical rectification. Moreover, we assert that the observed spectral modifications can be used to evaluate the absolute energy of generated THz pulses without calibrated THz detector. Abilities to obtain more than 100% optical-to-THz quantum conversion efficiency by...
We report a new technique based on domain inversions in x-cut LiNbO3 to tune the quasi-phasematching condition of a SHG process. The tuning range covers 58 nm with an applied voltage of plusmn150 V.
We demonstrate for the first time that thin, single-crystal films fabricated by ion- exfoliation of a bulk PPLN crystal will reduce tuning voltage for electro-optically tunable harmonic generation in PPLN devices.
