Using a recirculating loop, the performance of a polarization-insensitive, wavelength-preserving all-optical 3R regenerator for 10 Gb/s RZ-OOK signals is investigated for regenerator spacings of 80, 160 and 240 km.
In this paper, a phase-encoded optical code division multi-access (PE-OCDMA) system model is proposed. In order to analyze the impact of beat noise with precise, a Gaussian-approximation method by taking polarization into account is first introduced in this paper. The bit error rate (BER) formula of Gold sequence is obtained, when all interference signals are paralleled with the targeted user we derived...
Real-time polarisation control schemes employing two multiplexed non-orthogonal reference signals are shown to provide complete control of multiple polarisation states for polarisation encoded quantum communications with negligible added noise in the quantum channel. The robustness of the control schemes to polarisation mode dispersion and induced penalties are simulated and discussed.
