In this study, an optimization algorithm is proposed for asymmetric s-shape acceleration/deceleration to achieve better contour accuracy for biaxial systems. The optimization is based on the method of genetic algorithm incorporated with the constraints made by the motion system. Numerical simulations of an XY table driven by linear motors following a simple cornering path verify the proposed algorithm.
Cell planning is a crucial part of designing a mobile communication network. Although, there are many proposed algorithms for this purpose, the problem has been remained challenging in non-uniform traffic situations. In this paper, we propose a new cell planning method based on active contour theory. The structure of the proposed method lets several parameters be applied in cellular mobile communication...
Intelligent optimization is a vibrant area of investigation, with some of the widely known and used approaches being Genetic Algorithm, Ant Colony Optimization and Particle Swarm Optimization Algorithm. An inversion algorithm for the reconstruction of natural crack shape from eddy current testing signals is developed by using an artificial neural network based forward model and intelligent inversion...
This paper explores the use of genetic algorithms in the field of fractals generation. Recently in addition to conventional schemes of the fractal generation new technique for generating the fractals has been initiated. This paper mainly focuses on handling and manipulating the points in 2D space based upon the principles of genetics to search for apparent or hidden similarities among the data points...
