This paper presents a RFID tag antenna at 900MHz which has a wide frequency band, meeting that of Chinese standard from 860MHz to 960MHz, and it possesses easy conjugate impedance matching property by adopting an arc-shaped feeding. With a typical antenna impedance of Monza3 (Impinj), the proposed tag of compact size 30×70mm2 has a stable performance through 100MHz frequency bandwidth.
This paper analyzes the slotted microstrip antenna equivalent circuit and the slot theory, and then describes a novel slot-coupled dual-band dipole antenna for RFID tag. The proposed antenna uses a novel compact structure and reduces the area of antenna by 15% or more than similar antennas. Simulated results computed by HFSS 10 indicate that the impedance bandwidths (less than -10dB) of this antenna...
The biconical dipole antenna is frequency independent antenna. A dipole antenna is a narrowband and frequency dependent. In this paper a linear array of five biconical antennas with cone angle 30 is modeled in WIPL-D software and analyzed. Radiation pattern, gain, impedance and Sparameter plots of the array are analyzed and presented for 1-5 GHz frequency range. Mathematical equations for the parameters...

This paper proposes a compact planar single band and dual-band antenna for Wideband local area (WLAN)/ ultra wideband (UWB) applications. The antenna consists of elliptical metal patch and a 50Ω coplanar waveguide (CPW) transmission line. By etching C-shaped slot in the patch for dual-band antenna (2.45GHz/3.1-10.6GHz). The proposed antenna is successfully designed and simulated. It shows that broadband...
A printed monopole antenna with microstrip-fed Sierpinski fractal geometry for dual wideband application is presented. The operating bands are adjusted with the design of modified Sierpinski triangle (radiating patch), ground plane and scale factor used to create a fractal shape. The simulated 10 dB (VSWR 2:1) reflection bandwidth for first resonant frequency is 60% (1.47 GHz2.7 GHz). It covers GPS,...
The usage of multi-beam antenna in passive millimeter wave imaging system reduces the time of imaging, but this system structure leads to striping in the image acquired. By analyzing the characteristics of passive millimeter wave image and the spectrum distribution of striping noise, use a modified Butterworth low pass filter to remove striping in frequency domain. Confirm the cut-off frequency of...
The channel capacity of a MIMO telecommunication system depends on different parameters such as the signal-to-noise ratio, the space-time characteristics of the propagation channel, the antenna array geometry and the antenna pattern. However, the propagation channel remains the strongest constraint imposed on designers of new radio air interfaces. Using a MIMO channel model, computer simulations are...
This paper proposes the configuration of a novel wideband patch antenna system suitable especially for indoor mobile communication applications. This configuration consists of an elevated patch antenna, which has different feed structure from classical patch antenna feed configurations that the antenna is fed by an inverted L-shape structure. The antenna structure is designed, simulated and manufactured...
This paper proposes a novel low SAR PIFA structure to reduce exposure of the human head to mobile-set antenna radiation. Dual-band PIFA structures operating at 0.9 GHz and 1.8 GHz bands are considered. SAR is decreased by reducing the back-radiation coming from the patch and the ground plane. This SAR reduction is accomplished by inserting a thin metallic layer between the patch and the ground plane...
The goal of this paper is to introduce a statistical approach for modelling antennas behaviour in the vicinity of the human body. A very preliminary model based on geometrical optics has been developed, and calculations have been performed for parallel and perpendicular polarisations, for 0.915, 2.45 and 5.8 GHz, for various human body tissues, and for several antenna locations on the body. The statistics...
In this paper we analyze the Ricean K-factor for vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communications in a typical open sub-urban street crossing. The channel conditions vary from non line-of sight (NLOS) to line-of-sight (LOS). The antenna arrays used for recording the radio channels consist of 4 elements with directional radiation patterns. We measured 16 individual single-input single-output channels, with...
In the present paper an array antenna is implemented similar to polyphase filters. This type of antenna implementation is shown to reduce the antenna element mutual coupling effect on the array. In an antenna arrangement where the beam properties are controlled from the baseband, the polyphase antenna requires a reduced number of amplifiers than a conventional array antenna configuration.
The minimum variance distortionless response (MVDR) beamforming optimization method is studied on cylindrical conformal array. non-isotropic antenna element pattern is used for practical engineering. Synthesis examples of three-dimensional cylindrical conformal arrays are presented. Moreover, we show by means of simulations that the method is applicable to cylindrical conformal array.
