An X-band FMCW sensor is developed with beam-scanning capability to reliably detect the vehicles with different shapes. Two-element transmitting antenna array is designed with single phase shifter and an unequal power divider to reduce the cost and achieve compact size of 4.5 cm × 4 cm. Experiments successfully confirm precise identification of the incoming vehicle and its occupancy.
This paper describes the definition, manufacturing and testing of the antenna breadboard demonstrator intended for the MetOp-SG SCAtterometer Instrument. The breadboard is a dual polarization array antenna composed of separate radiating panels for H and V polarizations, respectively. The panels with the supporting structures are undergoing a test campaign that comprises thermal cycling, vibration,...
The inadequacy of the traditional, digitally encoded RFID tags in combating counterfeiting prompts us to investigate new hardware-enabled technologies that can complement the remote identification functionality of typical RFIDs in an effective and very low cost way. In this paper, we present RFID-CoA; a system that aims to render typical RFID tags physically unique and hard to near-exactly replicate...
