A simple radiating structure for achieving omni-directional radiation pattern from a monopole antenna fed by a CPW feed is presented. The proposed antenna has a 2:1 VSWR bandwidth of 76% from 2.7GHz to 5.7GHz. Hence it is suitable for WLAN 5.2(5.15-5.35GHz) band, WiMAX 2.5/3.5(2.5-2.69GHz, 3.4-3.69GHz) bands, HiperLAN2 (5.47-5.725 GHz) and HiSWaNa (5.15-5.25GHz) wireless application bands. The simulated...
A single multiband and wideband antenna for vehicle and hot-spot 3/4G applications, which covers the 750–1050 MHz and 1700–2900 MHz frequency bands, is presented. It consists of transposed coplanar waveguide radiating elements that are arranged collinearly. Optimisation for VSWR < 2∶1 bandwidth is the main design consideration. The patches are printed on common 1.6 mm thick FR-4 PCB.
A simple square loop printed antenna fed by a coplanar waveguide (CPW) is proposed. Considering a return loss criterion of better than 9.5 dB, the antenna operates in two frequency bands: 1.73-2.50 GHz and 3.44-3.87 GHz. These bands represent 36.4% and 11.8% impedance bandwidths respectively. A parametric study has also been carried out by varying the spacing between the ground and the square loop...
A coplanar waveguide (CPW)-fed planar monopole antenna with triple-band operation for WiMAX and WLAN applications is presented. The antenna, which occupies a small size of 25(L) ?? 25(W) ?? 0.8(H) mm3, is simply composed of a pentagonal radiating patch with two bent slots. By carefully selecting the positions and lengths of these slots, good dual stopband rejection characteristic of the antenna can...
