This note studies the feedback control problem for uncertain networked control systems, where a digital communication channel connects sensors, controllers and plants. The case with the time delay and data dropout is considered. A controller for stabilization of networked control systems is designed. Simulation results show the validity of the proposed control scheme.
This paper investigates the problem of stabilizing predictive control for networked control systems with state and input constraints. Both sensor-to-controller and controller-to-actuator delays are considered and described by a multirate method. The control scheme is characterized as a constrained finite horizon predictive control optimization problem with a multirate network-induced delays compensation...
Network-induced delays in a networked control system (NCS) are stochastic continuous variables that depend on the current network state, which, as an abstract and hidden variable, can not be well defined but can be perceived by the observation of the packet-delay process. We model the network in an NCS as a hidden Markov chain and the network delay as stochastic variable whose probability density...
This paper examines the effects of position-dependent delays of mobile actuator/sensor pairs when employed for the control of spatially distributed systems. It is assumed that a collocated pair moves freely within the spatial domain in order to minimize the effects of a moving source. A time delay that depends on the distance of the actuator/sensor pair from the base station is incorporated into the...
This paper investigates the problem of model predictive control for networked multirate control systems (NMCSs) with the output sampling period several times larger than the input updating period. Both sensor-to-controller and controller-to-actuator network-induced delays are considered and are assumed to be upperbounded by one output sampling period. Firstly, using a modified multirate model predictive...
Varying time delays prevent successful operation of control loops closed over communication networks, i.e. networked control system (NCS). To mitigate the negative effects of delays, existing research mainly focuses on deriving control approaches/solutions built upon the assumption that the operation of control loops is synchronized at the sampling instants. In this paper we propose an approach to...
