The thermal treatment of polyamidic acid films based on benzophenontetracarboxylic dianhydride and 4,4'-diamino-3,3'-dimethyl diphenylmethane, at different temperatures, led to polyimide structures having different degree of imidization. The thermal and dielectric characteristics of the films were investigated by using dynamic mechanical analysis, contact angles and dielectric spectroscopy measurements.
Flexible thin films based on poly (amide-imide)s were obtained by casting technique and their properties were studied. The polymers were synthesized by solution polycondensation reaction of trimellitic anhydride chloride with 2,6-bis (m-aminophenoxy)-benzonitrile or 2,6-bis (p-aminophenoxy) benzonitrile. They were easily soluble in polar amidic solvents such as N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone and showed high...
A series of polyimides (PI) based on two dianhydrides, namely 5-(2,5-dioxotetra-hydro-3-furanyl)-3-methyl-3-cyclohexene-1,2-dicarboxylicanhydride (DOCDA) and benzophenonetetracarboxylicdianhydride (BTDA), and an aliphatic diamine, namely 1,6 diaminohexane (DAH), have been obtained by solution polycondensation reaction, followed by thermal ring closure of the resulting polyamic acids. The chemical...
Heterocyclic polyimides based on bis (ketonaphthalic) dianhydrides and aromatic diamines containing oxadiazole rings were prepared and their dielectric properties were investigated. The dielectric constant values, measured at room temperature and in the frequency domain of 1 Hz-1MHz, were in the range of 2.7-3.1, being lower or comparable with those of commercial polyimide film Kapton which is one...
A novel capacitive-type humidity sensor based on polyimide thin films locally cured using MEMS microhotplate was developed. The locally cured polyimide films have been characterized using infrared spectroscopy and compared to those of films cured using a conventional thermal process. The polyimide locally cured at temperature over 350degC for 1 hour was fully cured. There were no significant differences...
