The objective of this paper is to design a controller for servo motor in discrete-time systems. The effect of sampling time on the proposed design will further discussed. Real-time data gained from the experimental is used to obtain the transfer function to design the PID controller. In order to get the optimal value of PID controller, ARX model structure was implemented. The effectiveness of the...
This paper presents a new method for designing the PIDA (Proportional-Integral-Derivative-Acceleration) Controller for a third order system. The results from simulations shown that all desired specifications can easily met by changing only one parameter. Comparing of the performances of the closed-loop in continuous-time system from this new simple method called ldquoKitti's Methodrdquo with the design...
An equivalence class, called the T-equivalence class in this study, is introduced for discrete time models of a continuous time system such that any member of this class has the same input-output characteristics when the discrete time interval approaches zero. This concept provides a systematic way of viewing the various discrete time models including those already proposed in the literature.
