This paper proposes a 5-level half-bridge hybrid converter topology with improved capacitor voltage balance and reduced kVA rating. In order to validate the proposed structure, experimental results are presented. In addition, it is compared with an existing counterpart structure in terms of capacitor voltage oscillation and capacitance size.
The paper introduces a new approach for the design of multi-band distributed VCOs for mobile TLC applications.
