The paper presents the species compositions, nest densities, structure and ecological profiles of ant communities in four age stages (from plantation to mature stand) of moist pine forests (associations Peucedano-Pinetumand Leucobryo-Pinetum of the alliance Dicrano-Pinion). The study was carried out in the years 1986-1987 in Puszcza Białowieska, Puszcza Biała and Bory Tucholskie in moist pine forest stands representing three age classes: 15-20, 40-60 and 80-100 years old. 14 Coccinellidae species were registered, Scymnus suturalis Thbg. and Myrrha octodecimguttata (L.) being most abundant.
