Wireless multimedia communications are playing important roles in the emerging communication system, which require effective transmission with resource access for providing diverse Quality of Services (QoS) to accommodate variety of services like multimedia and bursty traffic. MCCDMA-MIMO, Multi Carrier Code Division Multiple Access (MC-CDMA) technique with spatial diversity and spatial multiplexing...
In this paper, the energy efficiency (EE) of different MIMO diversity schemes is analyzed for the downlink of a two-tier network consisting of both macro- and femto-cells. The locations of the base stations (BSs) in both tiers are modeled by spatial Poisson point processes (PPPs). The EE of the system in b/J/Hz is obtained for different antenna configurations under various diversity schemes. Adaptive...
In this paper, an interference alignment system for the distributed MIMO network is investigated. We propose a new precoding scheme using interference alignment in modulation signal domain. The simulation results show that the proposed one-dimensional precoding scheme can provide significant performance improvement over the conventional schemes using interference alignment.
In this paper, we propose a robust STBC transmission scheme to combat the timing synchronization errors over frequency-selective multiple-access channels. First, the equivalent channel model in the presence of timing synchronization errors is derived and we find that the synchronization errors result in an equivalent channel model with larger number of correlated channel taps. Based on this correlated...
This paper studies efficient complex valued matrix manipulations for multi-user STBC-MIMO decoding. A novel method called Alamouti blockwise analytical matrix inversion (ABAMI) is proposed for the inversion of large complex matrices that are based on Alamouti sub-blocks. Another method using a variant of Givens rotation is proposed for fast QR decomposition of this kind of matrices. Our solutions...
