The data stream of IEEE 802.15.4 with 2.4GHz is expected to collide with those of Local Area Network(LAN) with 2.4GHz and others. So, we proposed a multimode baseband system of IEEE 802.15.4. In our proposed system 2.4GHz and 868/915MHz can be selected by user. In this paper, we propose a multi baseband hardware which can choose band of 868MHz, 915MHz, and 2.4GHz on one chip. The baseband is selected...
A home network gateway has been developed, which supports both wire and wireless communication functions. ZigBee and PLC modules are taken as communication hardware and a conversion protocol is implemented to be able to smoothly exchange the information between the two hardware modules. The developed gateway shows good performance and can supports various home network service configurations.
Adaptive ARQ is applied to a wireless network, altering retransmission policy according to content importance. By a video deadline-aware buffer discard policy, repeated transmission of expired packets and buffer overflow are mitigated, helping to maintain video quality. Multiple deadlines are applied according to picture type. The combined policy is demonstrated for a bluetooth piconet achieving fast...
