Design and simulation problems of high power full-bridge boost converter with 175…320 VDC supply voltage are considered. The converter under investigation consists of a full-bridge inverter, a boost high-frequency transformer, a diode rectifier connected to a capacitive filter and an active load. Additional inductance, connected in series with the transformers primary winding, is brought in the converters...
This paper proposes a novel high-voltage generator served as a lamp tester for cold cathode fluorescent lamps (CCFLs). The proposed circuit consists of a buck-boost converter, an L-C resonant network and a step-up transformer. Only one active switch with simple control for turning on and off the switch at a high frequency is used. The inductance of the transformer serves as the inductor of the L-C...
This paper will discuss the advantages of using switched reluctance generator (SRG) for wind energy applications. Specifically, the theoretical and experimental study of the self excitation of a SRG and the determination of the variable parameters in a SRG design are discussed. The switching requirements for the converter and the design parameters for the maximum power output of the SRG are computed...
This paper presents a new method of modifying interleave winding so the transformer leakage inductance and winding resistance, which are the main parameters in switch mode power supplies (SMPSs) design. The results are applied to the design of a single switch forward SMPS with an output of 1500 watts and good result as 92.5% efficiency and high reliability achieved.
