The design method of a Fuzzy-PI-Smith controller for time delay system is proposed. The controller combines fuzzy controller with Smith Predictor to solve the problem that Smith Predictor is too sensitive to the error of model parameters. Moreover, PI controller is added to eliminate the steady-state error of the system. Its effectiveness is verified by simulation results.
Recently considerable efforts have focused on the design of self-adaptive flow control schemes for wireless multicast service. This attention is significantly necessary due to the large scale heterogeneous wireless multicast receivers, especially those with large propagation delays, which means the feedbacks arriving at the source node are somewhat outdated and harmful to the control actions. To solve...
For process with time delay, this paper mainly presents tuning methods of Smith predictive control system based on optimal transfer functions. Details are provided about how to design the PI or PID controller separately for the first order lag process with dead time (FOPDT) and the second order lag process with dead time (SOPDT). Simulation results are given to show the validity of the methods. Due...
The paper presents polynomial controller design giving the 1st order constrained closed loop dynamics. As particular examples, constrained PID and PI-dead time (predictive) controllers are derived. These examples characterize two most important design features - compensation of just some of parasitic time delays that enables to increase the reliability of the controller tuning and, secondly, derivation...
