This paper presents a developed linearized block diagram of a SMIB power system with a PSS which represents the dynamics behaviors of the power system. A fourth-order model for synchronous generator has been used. Finally, the simulation results show that the system for three loading conditions (normal, heavy, light) has outstanding operation in fast damping of oscillations of power system.
