Proposed a texture analysis method that based on the combination of the Gabor filters and 2DPCA. Through Gabor filter obtained the multi-direction and multi-resolution Gabor sub-image in the time and frequency domains. The Gabor sub-images were processed by 2DPCA, and extracted the multi-scale and multi-orientation feature vector. Finally using Euclidean distance measure the similarity of different...
This paper address the problem of change detection in very high resolution remote sensing images. To that end, we define a measure of the observed change based on the distribution of the coefficients issued from a wavelet transform, taking care to be rotation invariant. The dissimilarities are obtained through the Kullback-Liebler distance and a change features vector is defined from all the distances...
This paper presents an algorithm for fingerprint identification based on wavelet transform and Gabor features. Firstly, a center point area of the fingerprint is detected, then the image in this area is decomposed into different sub-images using wavelet transform, finally we extract Gabor features from these sub-images to generate feature vectors for matching. The experiment conducted over the four...
After several decades of research, the development of an effective feature extraction method for texture classification is still an ongoing effort. In this paper, we propose a novel approach for texture classification using a new cluster-based feature extraction method that divides the matrices of computed two-dimensional wavelet coefficients into clusters. The features that contain the information...
In this paper, we present a symmetrical invariant LBP (SILBP) texture descriptor based on the texture pattern equivalent, which is defined according to visual perception of textures. Then we extend the SILBP to linear SILBP. Our experiments on image retrieval show that the proposed texture discriptor has the advantages of symmetrical invariant, rotation robustness and computing simplicity.
In this paper, we propose an adaptive object tracking algorithm in crowded scenes. The amplitudes of of undecimated wavelet packet tree coefficients for some selected pixels at the object border are used to create a feature vector (FV) corresponding to that pixel. The algorithm uses these FVs to track the pixels of small square blocks located at the vicinity of the object boundary. The search window...
