The relief of the Zadroże Dune was described, as well as the comparison was done on its vegetation cover and the flora in its two phases of the development, i.e. before the afforestation of the dune and approximately 60 years after reconstruction of the forest. The first state was described in the paper dated 1949. During that period the dune constituted the first common study area for the research...
The present paper aims at describing the biota of lichens of the Zadroże Dune and its adjacent area in Toruń. The research on lichens was conducted during the years 2005-2006. The data on lichens come from my own research and literature. Altogether, the occurrence of 82 lichen taxa was recorded in the investigated area, including 74 species recorded during my own research. Due to the availability...
The paper presents a list of 50 lichens and lichenicolous fungi found on rocks in the region of Szrenica Mt. (western part of the Karkonosze Mts). All the species grow on granites, exposed either in boulder fields or as separate rock formations. Four of them, Chrysotrix chlorina, Cetrariella commixta, Parmelia omphalodes and Umbilicaria nylanderiana, are discussed in details. Chrysotrix chlorina is...
The paper presents the results of lichenological research carried out in the Gryżyński Landscape Park. 83 species of lichens have been found in the park. Among them, 28 were growing on trees, 14 on rocks, 19 on soil, 7 on wood and 15 on different kind of substrata. Some of the noted species are protected or endangered (e.g., Chaenotheca furfuracea, Strangospora pinicola, Thelocarpon epibolum, Parmelia...
The first regional list of threatened lichens in the Polish East Sudetes is presented. The list is a result of investigation studied in the Śnieżnik Massif and the Bialskie Mountains. The status of listed lichen species has been evaluated according to the Red List Categories by IUCN (2001, version 3.1). The data obtained were compared with historical ones. Changes of the species main frequency were...
The paper contains the results of scientific research in the Zdrojowy Park in Cieplice. General aims of the studies were analysis of the lichen flora and estimation of the environmental condition of the park using lichens as bioindicators.
Park Szczytnicki is the biggest park in Wrocław city, and one of the largest in Europe. On this area, 35 species of lichens and 1 of lichenicolous fungus (Lichenoconium lecanorae) have been found. Same of recorded lichen species, e.g. Bryoria fuscescens and Usnea hirta are rare and endangered in Poland, particularly in the cities.
A list of 154 lichen species recorded up to now in the Kleśnica Stream Valley (Śnieżnik Massif, Sudety Mts.) is presented. As a result of the present investigations, 111 taxa growing on various substrata: trees, calcareous and siliceous rocks, soil, mosses and plant debris have been found. Some of them, e.g. Anaptychia ciliaris, Melanelia glabra, Parmelina quercina, Ramalina fastigiata and Solorina...
