A novel topology analysis method is presented to analyze the testability of grounding grids, and creditability is firstly proposed as an important index to evaluate the results. In this method, inaccessible nodes are eliminated by wye-delta transformation, followed by the calculation of testability and creditability index in the reverse direction. Simulation results are provided to prove this method.
This work presents several harmonic analyses using the four-wire three-phase harmonic current injection method (FHCIM) to simulate the power distribution neutral-to-earth voltage (NEV) Test Case. FHCIM is a fast and reliable Newton-Raphson multi-frequency power flow methodology to simulate unbalanced three-phase electric power systems with explicit representation of the network characteristics and...
In this paper, the feature parameters of fault phase selector are extracted. From perspective of fuzzy pattern recognition, subjection functions and fuzzy rules for identifying fault type and selecting phase of fault are developed. And new algorithm of speedy comprehensive fault phase selection based on stratified fuzzy reasoning is presented. ATP Simulation indicates that the new approach can select...
Neutral to earth voltage can vary significantly depending on the load unbalance. Here, an analysis of neutral to earth voltage in multi-grounded three-phase four-wire distribution system is presented that considers load unbalance and the effect of explicitly represented neutral wire. A multiphase load flow algorithm is developed based on backward/forward sweep to examine the effects of various factors...
Fault line detection in distribution system is a problem. In this paper, method of the module maximum value is employed to analyze the electric information after the fault, and to respond the abrupt change of zero sequence currents, and through comparing the change of the zero sequence currents on all lines' polarities and magnitudes, then the fault line can be determined. With the using of inner...
The inductive voltage and the current flowing in the metallic sheath of power cables play important roles in the service of power cables, especially influencing their current capacities and reliabilities. In this paper, for the widely used cross-linked grounding cables, a model for calculating the current flowing in the metallic sheath of cable, including inductive current which is calculated by an...
