This paper presents a comprehensive analysis and discussion of how to design a high resolution and low thermal drift eddy current sensor (ECS). A simple transformer based equivalent model was presented to explain the influence of target conductivity and working frequency to the ECS's sensitivity and stability. The relationships between the ECS's performances and target conditions were also obtained...
A new wireless 3D IC connection method, Magnetic-sensing Transmission Interface (MTI), is reported, for the first time. MTI implemented by placing a high-sensitivity sensor with perpendicular magnetic anisotropy on the top of a micro-coil is successfully demonstrated. This new contactless connection scheme offers low-power, wide-bandwidth and multi-layer wireless data transmission for 3D ICs.
Rogowski coils have been used for decades for non-invasive current measurement when other probe, such as current shunts, current transformers are impracticable. The measurement of diode beam current in pulse power system under vacuum and high voltage are challenging task which requires development of Rogowski coil for specific applications. They operate in large radiation fields, under intense electron...
NMR Research Centre of INMAS has developed an in-house Helmholtz coil. It will be used as a component of the system for hyperpolarizing Xenon gas for MRI application. The system will be helpful in imaging low proton density area of the body such as lungs efficiently. This paper describes the mathematical approach for designing the Helmholtz coil. Structure geometry, number of turns in winding and...
This paper describes the theoretical analysis and experimental investigations of a differential loop and a Rogowski coil for measuring pulsed power with hundreds KA amplitude and tens NS rise time. According to the results of the investigation the differential loop and the Rogowski coil have been developed. The rise time for both impulse current measuring devices itself is about 1 ns. Both devices...
