Images are often corrupted by impulse noise in the procedures of image acquisition and transmission. In this paper, we propose a novel denoising method, which is based on the decision-tree and edge-preserving techniques, for the removal of random-valued impulse noise. Extensive experimental results show that the proposed technique not only preserves the edge features, but also obtains excellent performances...
The traditional Canny edge detector is designed to detect the edges of gray image, the color image must be converted to gray image, this method only uses the luminance information of color image, and don't take into account the chroma information, therefore, it misses some edges. In this paper, an improved Canny edge detector against impulsive noise based on CIELAB space is proposed, the color image...
Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is the damage to the eye's retina that occurs with long-term diabetes, which can eventually lead to blindness. Screening programs for DR are being introduced, however, an important prerequisite for automation is the accurate localization of the main anatomical features in the image, notably the optic disc (OD) and the macula. A series of interesting algorithms have been proposed...
In this paper few optimal edge detection techniques, used to inspect the over and under fill liquid level of bottle in machine vision system are compared. The text represents the steps and approaches for the inspection of over and under filled level in the bottle which would not only be helpful for quality inspection but in precised time too using different edge detection techniques. The results of...
A very simple, low power, wide range and high accuracy Phase Detector (PD) is presented solving many problems of the conventional circuits. SPICE simulation results show that the immune frequency range of operation is 1MHz to 2GHz. The dead zone of the presented open loop PD is zero, makes it the best choice to be used in high speed DLLs. This circuit is tested in 0.35um CMOS technology.
