Super-resolution face image acquisition system is indispensable in people's life. Under the condition of low illumination, the illumination environment difference is too big or the light is insufficient, which leads to the traditional image acquisition system can not collect the high quality face image, and the limitation is poor. Based on open source computer vision library (OpenCV) in the C++ environment...
Computer vision systems are one of the most widely used techniques in Automation and have been extensively used for industry automation. Industrial automation deals mainly with the automation of production, quality control and materials management processes. One trend is the increasing use of Machine vision to offer automatic inspection and robot guidance functions, while the other is a continued...
The study of algorithms for iris recognition is an area of continued growth. Although a variety of methods have been proposed, this paper focuses on the analysis and implementation of an algorithm which consists of the basic steps for iris recognition- including preprocessing, segmentation, and normalization, as well as features extraction and matching- on a low-cost, low-power ARM based board, BeagleBone...
This paper presents a novel method that can estimate the distance of a person up to 6 meters away. The proposed approach is based on face images extracted from a video of a monocular camera through the use of the Viola-Jones approach of OpenCV to detect the faces. The results of the experiments show the practicality of this approach in calculating the distances of the subjects in the camera's view.
The objective of this paper is to present the results of a class developed with routines in Java language, and contribution of OpenCV library, for analysis and extraction of metadata from images. To evaluate the developed class, three different figures were produced in cardstock and their perimeters were measured with a millimeter ruler. Then these figures were scanned for further image analysis with...
A feature extraction of edible oil FTIR based on fractal geometry is proposed in this paper. Theoretical calculation formulas of fractal dimension are introduced. The calculation method of box-counting dimension based on FTIR is analyzed. We have used the open source computer vision library OpenCV to implement the FTIR of edible vegetable oils fractal dimension calculation algorithm. The result indicates...
