In aggregation problems different types of information items can occur. In spite of such diversity, it is possible to reinterpret them approximately in a unique formal setting by means of profiles: an extension of fuzzy set membership functions. Then the original aggregation problem can be modelled by an appropriate profile aggregation. Therefore, in this paper we concentrate on and reconsider some...
Triangular norms (t-norms) have been applied to many areas of artificial intelligence. Residual implications (R-implications) induced by t-norms have become important tools in both theoretical and applied researches of nonclassical logics and approximate reasoning. This paper discusses axiomatic characterizations of t-norms and R-implications. The correspondences between properties of t-norms and...
In this paper,we summarize some Archimedean properties and characterize some new Archimedean properties of triangular norms on ([0, 1], les). An open problem on pseudo-Archimedean t-norms, recently posed by E.P. Klement [Fuzzy Sets and Systems 145 (2004) p473], is discussed.
In this presented note, triangular norms are studied in the general setting of bounded partially ordered sets(posets). The sets of idempotent elements, zero divisors and nilpotent elements associated to a t-norm are introduced and related to each other. The Archimedean of t-norms is discussed, in particular its relationship to the diagonal inequality.
