The main results of the investigation of the electrodynamic characteristics of a new type of antenna — an ultra-wideband, low-directional spiral antenna with coplanar feeding are presented and discussed. The use of such a method of feeding makes it possible to realize the excitation of the antenna without violating the planarity of the structure.
In the paper the new type of a low-directional circular polarization antenna is presented. The antenna design is a planar spiral with a small number of turns of variable width, surrounded by a flat conducting screen. On the basis of numerical simulation, the frequency dependences of the main parameters of antenna for various design modifications are obtained and analyzed. In addition to wideband properties...
An ultra-low power impulse OOK transmitter circuit for ultra-small wireless sensor nodes (WSNs) is developed. Intermittent driving RF circuits can dramatically reduce the power consumption and a differential source follower amplifier with a feedback controller can efficiently drive an electrically small antenna. The fabricated solar powered 5-mm-cubic node transmits signal 10 m with energy efficiency...
Nowadays, Sensor network is extensively practical in numerous fields including general engineering, agriculture and environmental monitoring, health monitoring and surgery [1]. Sensors are designed as increasingly efficient and Miniature. As a matter of fact, the most important factor in the design of RF communications is the size of the antenna [2]. In fact, Miniaturization will be subject to steady...
Miniaturized printed wire antennas in system in package were investigated for 2.4 GHz wireless communication systems. An inverted F antenna was proposed, and had a small area with 15 mm by 15 mm. The position of feed tap connected to the antenna arm greatly influenced the impedance of antenna, namely, it could adjust the position of feed tap to match the impedance to 50 ohm. The influences of chips...
This paper presents modeling of an inset-fed rectangular patch antenna. The S and Z parameters of an inset - fed rectangular mocrostrip patch antenna are investigated and optimization is performed by varying the inset depth psilaDpsila of feed line with keeping inset width dasiaSpsila constant. Also varying the inset width dasiaSpsila of feed line while keeping inset depth dasiaDpsila constant. The...
A folded patch fed compact UWB antenna is proposed and designed. The UWB band is obtained by E-H shaped stacked with H shaped patch, fed with a folded patch feed and the size reduction is realized through the use of shorting wall. The antenna has a compact structure, and the total size is 15 by 14 mm by 10 mm. A relative impedance bandwidth of 100% (from 3.46 to 10.36 GHz) is achieved. Also, the antenna...
The results of an investigation of the in-phase type collinear-coaxial antenna, with series feeding dividers and vertically polarised radiation field, are presented. It is shown that according to this scheme 2/sup n/-element antennas may be constructed and their parameters will meet the demands of base station antennas for personal wireless mobile communications.
