Computer-aided design (CAD) is a challenging domain of end-user programming because it involves complex spatial transformations of 3-dimensional (3-D) objects. Here we provide evidence that shows that the ability to perform spatial transformations of novel abstract 3-D objects can be augmented when additional information is presented in an external display.
