Strategic Dual Image method (SDI) for three-dimensional magnetic field problems is studied. The basic idea of the SDI method is that the open boundary solution is in-between the Dirichlet and Neumann solution. In this study, we have shown that the reflected field from the boundary can be minimized when the average weight of the Dirichlet and Neumann solution approaches to w = 2/3.
This paper presents a model of electric field calculation in nonconducting regions in steady state AC magnetic application, with conductors described by surface impedance, using the 3-D finite element method. This approach is validated by calculating the equivalent impedance of a coil comparing the presented surface impedance decoupled method with a volume decoupled method.
