Rhodium deposited onto thin films of cerium dioxide was exposed by molecular beams of CO and O2. Production of CO2 was studied as a function of the substrate temperature and structure and the oxidation state of the samples. Polycrystalline CeO2 films as well as oriented CeO2(111)/Cu(111) ones were used. The results show that CO2 production depends on the original conditions of the used samples. Morphology...
