Se combinan modelos de shift‐share y de input‐output para explorar la resiliencia de las regiones griegas a la crisis económica. Los resultados de los modelos indican que las regiones rurales son más resistentes a perturbaciones recesivas que las urbanas. El análisis de la capacidad espacial de los sectores para resistir las perturbaciones económicas representó la resiliencia del sector agrícola, mientras que la industria alimentaria, a pesar de que su impacto disminuyó con el tiempo, logró aumentar su empleo en siete de las trece regiones. El sector del turismo se contrajo, pero mostró mayor resiliencia en las regiones insulares que en las regiones continentales. La heterogeneidad espacial en los efectos de las perturbaciones recesivas resalta la necesidad de políticas de desarrollo regional a medida y diferenciadas.
