Es wird eine neue Methode für die Ermittlung der absoluten Lagegenauigkeit von Lidar‐Punktwolken beschrieben. Sie basiert auf ebenen Flächen von Gebäudedächern, welche aus Laser‐Signalen abgeleitet werden. Drei dieser Ebenen werden zum Schnitt gebracht und ergeben einen Punkt. Die Koordinaten von einigen dieser gut definierten Punkte werden mit Punktkoordinaten verglichen, die aus digitalen Luftbildern bestimmt wurden. Aus den erhaltenen Differenzen werden Genauigkeitsmaße abgeleitet. Eine Untersuchung bezüglich der Art der Fehlerverteilung wird ausgeführt um zu bestimmen, ob Standard oder robuste Genauigkeitsmaße angewendet werden müssen. Vertrauensintervalle für jedes Fehlermaß sind mittels einer einzigartigen Berechnungsmethode abgeleitet worden. Ein praktischer Test mit der vorgeschlagenen Methode ergab eine hohe Präzision der Schnittpunkte. Die absolute Genauigkeit von Lidar‐Punktwolken wurde mit Standard‐ und robusten Genauigkeitsmaßen bestimmt. Die robusten Genauigkeitsmaße hatten immer kleinere Werte. Vorschläge für Standards zur Beurteilung der Lagegenauigkeit von Laser Punktwolken werden gegeben.
