A culture with GRIT is where people step up, make things happen, take personal accountability, help each other to succeed, and are collectively focused on the greater goal. The members of the team support the ripple, rather than make their own splashes. Spending the time to connect with people and getting them to connect with each other might well be the best investment one can make as a leader. Unlike the chameleon, one of the biggest mistakes managers make is not adjusting their management style to fit the situation. Different situations call for different measures, and once a manager understands the benefits of making those adjustments, productivity increases and stress decreases. Once we have the team in place and we have mitigated the splashes, it is time to get stuff done. Delegation allows our ripple to continue.
