It may be useful to look over the shoulder of a trader to see what usually happens in any given trading day. Certainly one of the best teaching methods is teaching by example. At the same time it should be recognized that no one trader's approach is the only approach, or even the best approach, for other traders to emulate. Optimal trading styles differ and go through successive refinements. Trying to understand what an individual trader is doing can be like trying to understand moving water by catching it in a bucket. In a sense, the attempt to copy another trader's approach is also like shooting at a moving target because a trader's daily procedures are continually undergoing refinements.
