For leaders of small and mid‐size companies, revenue growth requires some personal growth. In this chapter, the author narrates his experiences to highlight that one of the most important first steps is to identify why we work, who we work for, and to be consciously aware of it while we work. The author narrates the migration of his family from Ukraine to the United States when he was a child. The mood in Ukraine in the late 1970s was not prosperous and the environment was not entrepreneurial. In the US, the author struggled in business for years in order to succeed. This struggle and the great learning and development enabled the author to now run a highly successful seven‐figure practice helping his clients grow their top lines quickly and dramatically. This narration highlights the importance of being bold and intentional about our communications and revenue growth.
