Resistance brazing is an optimal procedure for joining aluminium and aluminium matrix composites. The directed heat input into the brazing zone ensures the preservation of the properties of the base material and optimal properties of the brazed joint. This is especially important for composites produced by ECAP (equal channel angular pressing). The combination of the resistance brazing and an ultrasound process enables a flux less joining. Selected test results of resistance brazed aluminium using Zink‐based fillers are shown.
