Advanced application of barodesy in finite element calculations
Advanced application possibilities of barodesy in FE‐calculations are presented in this article. On the one hand, the application of the intergranular strain concept to consider the stiffness increase in the small strain range is presented, together with the corresponding FE implementation. By using the so‐called asymptotic State Boundary Surface of barodesy, the effects of exceeding admissible states associated with the intergranular strain concept can be reduced, allowing a more realistic deformation prediction. On the other hand, an improved approach to stability analysis by means of parameter reduction for barodesy is presented. Using simple FE applications, the presented extensions are verified and their influence on the calculation result is investigated.
