The cover picture shows the rotational cyclic draining and replenishing (CDR) procedure demonstrated with the traditional irrigation wheel, ‘Rehat’ used in rural Pakistan. The rotational CDR incubation of western blot membrane in antibody solution allows fast and efficient antibody binding to target proteins. We designed a cylindrical chamber for rotational CDR antibody incubation that is artistically illustrated as the water wheel. The buckets in the water wheel embody target proteins that are continuously getting in and out of water reservoir, which represents antibody solution. With rotations, antibody solution is continuously drained and replenished to eliminate the diffusion limited depletion layer on western blot membrane. Rotational CDR incubation of antibody could benefit vast field of immunoassay by making the process rapid and efficient.
