The cover picture shows a cartoon representing a model of the Swiss (Army) Knife. Ever practical, this knife has become the most famous hand tool in the world due to the multiplicity of functions it contains. As well as the combination of tools included in the knife makes it adaptable to a wide variety of tasks, the usefulness of combining different techniques allows researchers to define novel strategies capable of extending the range of detectable proteins in a proteome and contribute to the high‐throughput profiling of biological specimens. This article intends to emphasize the concept that only the combination of procedures makes it possible to go deeper in the proteome of samples under investigation.
