The topic of environment and pollution is a major component of science education. The nanomaterial “graphene” makes it possible to produce highly efficient oil adsorption sponges in a simple and cost‐effective manner. As a result, the topic of oil pollution at sea can now be treated experimentally in school lessons. By combining a graphene sponge with a suction system, the large‐scale removal of oil spills can be demonstrated in a model experiment.
