Like a rocket: An extremely fast nickel‐mediated thiocarbonylation reaction yielding 2‐pyridyl thioesters provides for a convenient carbon‐13 labeling approach to the preparation of structurally elaborate aliphatic carboxamides, including both small molecule and peptide APIs.
