Single‐Molecule Light‐Emitting Diodes
In article number 2209750, Zitong Liu, Xuefeng Guo, and co‐workers integrate a functional electroluminescent molecular bridge into nanogapped graphene electrodes to build a high‐performance single‐molecule light‐emitting diode (SM‐LED) with unprecedented levels of stability and reproducibility. Precise tunability of its emission efficiency, color purity, emitted photon number, and energy is achieved upon application of external electric fields, rational molecular engineering, and Förster resonance energy transfer, affording a new practical single‐photon emitter, a milestone in developing the next generation of commercial display devices, and for quantum computation and communication.
