Summary
A behavioral neurological approach can make an important contribution to the assessment and treatment of emotional and behavioral disorders in childhood and adolescence. This approach is illustrated with a number of practical examples. Assessment and treatment of developmental dyspraxia, dysphasia, and attention deficit disorders, and disorders of time orientation and body language might be an integral part of treatment. However, this implementation – particularly in the non–residential setting – necessitates huge changes in professional thought and practice.
