We used accelerograms of earthquakes that were recorded by the network of seismic stations operated by the Baikal Branch of the Geophysical Service at the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (BB GS SB RAS) during the last decade to determine dynamic parameters of seismic signals and to find their ranges of variation for comparatively large earthquakes that occurred in the Baikal Rift Zone (BRZ). We present an example of accelerogram prediction for a variety of epicentral distances and magnitudes. The focus is on possible uses for the generation of expected seismic shaking incorporating the earthquake-generating zones (EGZ) of the highest hazard for Irkutsk City.
