Background
Metastatic breast cancer presents with wide range of clinical presentation. Isolated endometrial metastasis from lobular carcinoma breast is a rare phenomenon. In a patient with postmenopausal bleeding while on tamoxifen, a detailed pathological analysis with immunohistochemistry is needed to diagnose metastatic carcinoma to endometrium.
Case report
A 38-year-old lady with a histologically proven invasive lobular carcinoma breast on adjuvant hormonal treatment with tamoxifen presented with postmenopausal bleeding. She underwent endometrial biopsy which showed metastatic lobular carcinoma breast.
Conclusion
This is a case of lobular carcinoma breast with isolated endometrial metastasis. We discuss the treatment options and review the literature on this rare presentation.
