Pregnancies accompanied by maternal mental health issues are now included as part of the perinatal care structure. As the result of the creation of an innovative medical-psychological means of collaboration, issues seen by obstetricians are described outside of a previously psychiatric diagnosis context. The identification of the problem and its treatment have been the subject of multidisciplinary meetings in a birthing context, then at a national level so as to integrate the contextual differences. The method used to strengthen interdisciplinary practices calls on the prospective analysis of complex pregnancy cases on return to the home setting. The different cases in point, such as those presented to the practitioners concerned, are the subject of specific follow-up based on the discovery methods, the nature of the issues and the strategies of the support network. The conclusions are set out in the reference documents from the Languedoc-Roussillon regional perinatal network, and are the subject of good practices guidelines aimed at a wider audience.
