Nano-composite of the graphene (43 wt%), carbon nanotubes (43 wt%) and silicon adhesive (14 wt%) was synthesized and deposited in the form of 90 µm thick films in-between two pre-deposited metallic electrodes through the doctor blade technology. It was observed that the impedance and the capacitance of the sensors changed with relative humidity up to − 84.5 Ω/%RH and 1336.7 pF/%RH, respectively. The change in impedance and resistance with temperature was equal to − 19.8 Ω/ºC. The sensing range for temperature is 37–87 °C and that of relative humidity is 36 to 94%. For humidity sensing the response and recovery times are up to 26 s and 74 s, respectively. The fabricated sensors are attractive for commercialization in the form of humidity and temperature measuring instrument.
