Background
Premature ovarian insufficiency (POI) affects 1% of women under 40 years old and the lack of estrogen production is a situation for affected women, leading to infertility and chronic sequelae for women’s health. This necessitates careful diagnostics before therapeutic strategies can be developed.
Objective
The article demonstrates the creation of a stepwise diagnostic approach.
Results and discussion
Laboratory diagnostic procedures are based on patient medical history and clinical findings. Diagnostic procedures mainly comprise endocrine, autoimmune and genetic analyses.
