Hintergrund
Das klinische Zielvolumen (CTV) ist eines der Volumina, die von der Internationalen Kommission für Strahleneinheiten und Messungen (ICRU) für die Bestrahlungsplanung grundlegend sind.
Fragestellung
Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es, die Grundlagen und Probleme der Festlegung des CTV für die Planung in der Radiotherapie darzustellen.
Material und Methode
Nach einer knappen Definition des CTV wird kurz dargestellt, wie eine Homogenisierung der CTV im intraindividuellen Vergleich hergestellt wird, wobei insbesondere auf die radiologischen Anforderungen eingegangen wird. In mehreren Tabellen entwickelt sollen diese Inhalte dargestellt werden.
Ergebnisse
Das CTV ist das komplexeste Zielvolumen im Kanon der Zielstrukturen, die von der ICRU festgelegt wurden. Es wird ein Überblick über die Determinanten der Zielvolumenfestlegung gegeben.
Schlussfolgerung
Die Übersicht über die Grundregeln zur Festlegung der CTV kann das Verständnis für die Anforderungen der Radiologie an die Bildgebung zur Unterstützung der Bestrahlungsplanung facharztübergreifend verstärken.
