Networks of palliative care for patients who wish to die at home have recently spread all over the country. Some clinical psychologists working in the private sector joined in with homecare teams, thus dealing with an aspect of care, which was new to them. These clinical psychologists support patients and their families throughout the palliative period. This paper, describes the traditionnal practice of clinical psychologists working in the private sector, and then how these networks of palliative care were developed in France. Finally, it explains what is specific to this new type of practice for the clinical psychologists working in the private sector.
