Résumé Objectifs
Le but de ce travail est d’évaluer l’apport de la dilatation instrumentale au cours de la sténose oesophagienne dans le syndrome de Plummer-Vinson (SPV).
Patients et méthodes
Il s’agit de 14 patients recrutés sur une période de neuf ans. L’âge moyen est de 35 ± 13,6 ans (extrême: 16–62). On note une nette prédominance féminine. Tous les malades ont subi une dilatation à l’aide des bougies de Savary-Gilliard et ont reçu un traitement martial.
Résultats
Il a été réalisé au total 31 séances de dilatation. Le nombre moyen de séances de dilatation est de 2 ± 2,2 avec des extrêmes de 1–4. L’évolution au long terme est favorable avec régression de la dysphagie et de l’anémie, deux cas de récidive de la dysphagie ont été notés après un suivi de deux ans, ces patientes ont été redilatées avec succès.
Conclusion
Le SPV est peu fréquent, il survient surtout chez les sujets de sexe féminin. La dilatation instrumentale associée au traitement martial très efficace dans ce cas reste le traitement essentiel.
