Pulmonale Manifestationen der Sklerodermie treten häufig auf, und demzufolge findet sich dieses Krankheitsbild nicht selten im pneumologischen Alltag. Es werden 2 Formen der systemischen Sklerodermie unterschieden: 1. die diffuse oder progressive systemische Sklerodermie und 2. die limitierte Form, das CREST-Syndrom. Die Lungenbeteiligung der Sklerodermie kann sich verschieden manifestieren. Hauptmanifestationen sind die Lungenparenchymfibrose, die pulmonale Hypertonie und rezidivierende Aspirationen. Das Auftreten einer Lungenbeteiligung ist für Patienten mit Sklerodermie ein ungünstiger Prognosefaktor und stellt eine der Haupttodesursachen für diese Patienten dar [1, 2].
